Terms and ConditionsRENTAL RATES: Rates are based on property features, location, and season. Rates are subject to change without notice. Rates do not include local and state taxes, a damage protection fee, or a housekeeping fee. These fees will be added to all reservations.
PAYMENTS: Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals accepts payment by all major credit cards, cashier/certified check, or personal check. A deposit in the amount of 50% of the total rate, including taxes and fees, is due upon booking the initial reservation. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days prior to arrival. Full reservation payment is due at the time of booking if the arrival date is less than 30 days from the date of booking.
DEPOSITS: The RESERVATION DEPOSIT is 50% of the TOTAL RENTAL AMOUNT and is due within 10 days from the date the reservations are made. There is a $300.00 security damage deposit included in the total amount. The $300.00 may be secured with a credit card or paid by cash or check with final payment. If paid by cash it will be refunded within 30 days of departure. A $35.00 service fee will be added to all returned checks
TAXES AND FEES: All reservations are subject to state tax, local lodging tax, an administrative processing fee, and a cleaning fee.
PROPERTY PROTECTION PLANS: Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals partners with Rental Guardian to provide property protection coverage for our guests. This includes a non-refundable protection plan of $59.00 that will be added to all rental home reservations that protect accidental damages up to $1500. All damages must be reported immediately to our office. Rental Guardian also provides optional Standard Travel Protection services as well as Cancel For Any Reason Protection services. CONFIRMATION/CANCELLATION: Verbal reservations will be held for 10 days only. Reservations will be considered confirmed upon receipt of a 50% reservation deposit with a completed and signed copy of the agreement. If the reservation is canceled with less than 60-day notice the 50% deposit is forfeited if canceled within 2 weeks full amount is non-refundable. All cancellations are subject to a $75.00 cancellation fee.
PROPERTY PROTECTION PLANS: Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals partners with SafelyStay, Inc. to provide property protection coverage for our guests. This includes a non-refundable protection plan of $100.00 that will be added to all rental home reservations that protect against accidental damages up to $10,000. I give permission to SafelyStay, Inc. to verify my identity and check criminal databases in order to confirm my reservation. Complete terms regarding Safely's guest verification can be found at www.safely.com/terms. You may receive an email from [email protected] to complete your screening. Please check your spam folder for this email, and contact Safely at [email protected], or go to www.Safely.com if you have any questions. All damages must be reported immediately to our office. INDEMNIFICATION: The Guest agrees to indemnify the owner for any damages to or loss from the rental house, grounds, furnishings, appliances, household items, and any other of the Owner's property resulting during the Guest's rental term, normal wear and tear excluded.
The Guest further agrees to indemnify and hold the owner and the rental agent (Seahorse Amelia Vacations) harmless from any claim or liability for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from, related to, or in connection with the rental of this rental property, including but not limited to any claim for personal injury or damage or loss of property which is made, incurred or sustained by the Guest or other occupants or invitees of Guest, excepting if such damage or loss results directly from the willful misconduct or sole negligence of the owner or the agent.
Neither the owner nor the agent are responsible for any of the Guests or other occupant(s) valuable, cash, or other property during the rental term or thereafter left at the rental house.
CREDIT CARD INFORMATION: Credit card information is a requirement for your convenience. Additional services and/or any outstanding charges or fines due to damage not covered by the protection plan or the breaking of the Rental Agreement will be charged to the credit card on file. Balances due will be automatically charged unless another payment is provided.
REFUNDS: We strive to keep timely and accurate property and advertising information on all our platforms. Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals will not be held accountable for advertising errors due to property owner updates to pricing, availability, furnishings, amenities, equipment, and bedding arrangements. Refunds will not be given due to circumstances outside the control of Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals. This includes mechanical failure of items such as, but not limited to, air conditioners, TV, internet, dishwashers, pools, or other luxury items. This includes power outages, construction from surrounding areas, acts of nature such as beach or weather conditions, flooding, or high winds. No refunds can be given for any item not brought to our attention prior to your departure.
REPORTING ISSUES: Please notify Seahorse Amelia Vacations of issues immediately. We will work to resolve the reported problems in haste; however, some issues cannot be repaired before your departure. Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals and its vendors have the right to enter the rental property for maintenance and housekeeping concerns as well as provide entrance to service technicians.
RESPONSIBILITY: The person whose name the reservation will accept full responsibility for all payments, deposits, and for the actions of all persons on the premises during the stay.
Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of people (3 years and older) who can be at the property is specified on the individual property listing. Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals is not responsible for providing accommodations, linens, or towels for additional guests outside the number of guests stated on the rental agreement. If damage occurs related due to additional guests, all charges will be the responsibility of the individual whose name the reservation is in and will be charged to the credit card we have on file.
Substitutions of Accommodations: If this property becomes unavailable prior to your arrival, from circumstances beyond our control, we will make every attempt to move you to a comparable property. If a comparable property is unavailable, you will receive a refund of your total rent paid. We will make every attempt to notify you as soon as possible if a substitution must be made.
PARKING: Some rentals have a strict maximum number of vehicles allowed at the property. Having additional vehicles at the property or in parking spaces unassigned to the rental may result in fines or towing. Some rentals do not have private parking and the use of street parking will be necessary. All parking is a courtesy and cannot be adjusted due to unauthorized use or oversized vehicles.
HOUSEKEEPING: Your vacation accommodations will be cleaned to quality standards prior to your arrival and after your departure. You will be responsible for the cleaning of your unit during your stay and for leaving the unit in good condition at check-out. We respectfully request that you acknowledge you are staying in someone's home during your vacation; please treat it with the care you would your own. Do not flush sanitary napkins, tampons, paper towels, and wipes/baby wipes, etc. If damage or blockage occurs as a result of these actions, guests will be charged accordingly.
If extraordinary cleaning is required the cost will be charged to the guest card on file.
PROVIDED ITEMS: Guests will be provided with one hand soap dispenser per bathroom, one toilet paper roll per bathroom, one roll of paper towel, and one trash bag per garbage can. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide personal toiletry items during your stay. Guests are responsible for providing any additional essentials during their stay. Beds will be made and bathrooms equipped with bath towels to accommodate the number of guests in the rental agreement. These towels are not to be used at the beach or outside. If damage is found to these items, the credit card on file will be charged a replacement fee.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted at any of our properties. Some properties include the entirety of the premises and outdoor facilities such as porches or decks. Evidence of smoking during one’s stay will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of all paid expenses. In addition, the credit card on file will be charged a minimum of $300 per guest to cover damages incurred. The property will be checked for evidence of smoking after departure.
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS: Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Early arrival is not available during the peak summer season. Please call 24 hours prior to arrival in the off-season, and an early arrival may be possible for a fee. Please do not enter the property before your check-in time. All properties can be accessed without checking in with our office. Arrival Instructions specific to a property, including how to access the rental, will be sent via email or text on the day of arrival. In the event that a rental is ready early, our office will call the cell phone number we have on file and attempt to notify guests.
DEPARTURE INSTRUCTIONS: Check-out is no later than 10:00 AM for all our rental properties. Late check-out is not available during peak summer seasons. Please call 24 hours prior to departure, and a late check-out may be possible for a fee. Remove all garbage from outside dumpster or trash can. Load and run dishwasher. Start the first load of laundry. Do not leave any food in the refrigerator or freezer. Turn off lights, turn the thermostat to 65 degrees in winter and 76 degrees in summer months. Close and lock all outside doors and windows. Adhere to check-out time. If the housekeeping crew has to sit outside to wait for guests to leave the property, there will be an additional cleaning fee.
LOST & FOUND: Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals is not responsible for items left behind. There is a minimum $20 administrative fee on top of any charges for shipment of any item left at the property after departure. Please contact us within 48 hours of departure if you think you may have left items at a rental.
COURTESY POLICY: Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental management company. We do not own the properties we are representing. Be considerate of the owner’s belongings; please return all household items to their original places. Inside furniture should not be taken outside. Plates, cups, silverware, bath towels, linens, etc., should not be taken off the premises. Units may have one or more locked closets that are for owner's use only, these are not included in the Rental Agreement. Please be respectful of items provided by Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals, as well. If damage such as tears, make-up stains, bloodstains, mud, dirt, or other evidence that our linens and towels were used carelessly or taken to the beach or used outside, the credit card on file will be charged a replacement fee.
LIABILITY: Guests expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals and unit owners from any accidents, injuries, losses, and/or damages to Guests and/or his/her invitees. Guests expressly agree and understand that there is a risk of injury or death from the use of pools and other bodies of water and agree that neither Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals, its officers, or unit owners shall be liable for any claims, demands, injuries, damages or death to persons regardless of fault. Guests further agree to assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal liability for any injuries, damages, and the loss of any property including money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind. Seahorse Amelia Vacation Rentals will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism, acts of nature, fire damage, water damage, or other damages to the guest's personal property or items left in the unit.
Free Internet: All properties have Internet services available. These services are contracted with and provided by a third party therefore, we do not have control of the quality or availability of this service. The service is not guaranteed and will not warrant discounts or emergency services.
Parties/Underage Drinking: Our property cannot be used for house parties, weddings, or large family reunions due to City Ordinance and Fire Code. We will also not tolerate complaints of loud noises and underage drinking. Any of these situations will result in EVICTION without any refunds being issued.
No illegal substances are permitted on the property.
Quiet time- the noise curfew is 10:00 pm in all residential areas and all guests are expected to comply.
